Adam Hemuss lives and works in London. Taking the people he sees around him each day as inspiration, he creates paintings with a variety of media. From torn paper to wood, found objects to up-cycled canvas, he combines painting in acrylic and oils with screen printing techniques and graffiti art stencilling. Each Hemuss picture is a unique work, the fundamental thrust of which is the individual and what makes us what we are.
His pictures aim to highlight that everyone has a story, a life, an identity and within each work these narratives are left for the viewer to create, continue or end. Look at the man, wearing a fitted dark yellow jacket with a pattern. Black and white stockings. Pale green and moss green in the background. The woman at the forefront wearing a dress with one large and one small red swirl. Orange indigo frame. Lots of different people. Original, only 1. Invest in Art, Art is for Life!
